Can Cerakote be applied to my existing parts?

Each project begins with a careful evaluation to ensure the material is suitable for coating. Existing finishes are typically removed during the preparation process so the new coating can properly bond to the surface.
Do I need to completely disassemble my parts?
Complete disassembly is strongly recommended for the best results. Removing internal components allows every surface to be properly cleaned, prepared, coated, and cured while preventing overspray or interference with moving parts. If you're unable to disassemble your item, contact us before bringing it in. Depending on the project, disassembly and reassembly services may be available.
How long does the Cerakote process take?
Turnaround time depends on the size and complexity of the project, current workload, and the type of Cerakote being applied. Most projects are completed within one to two weeks, while larger or more complex jobs may require additional time. We'll provide an estimated completion time when your project is received so you know what to expect.
